If you change an imperial to a khajiit, for example, they will have fur and a tail, but their heads will stay human, except with a disembodied set of khajiit teeth floating in front of them.ĮDIT: Actually, you can change an imperial to a khajiit correctly by doing this: Change the NPC to an Argonian first, and then change them to a khajiit. For me, that's generally skyrim, ussep, wico & the wico ussep patch. You should get a set of columns to the right that list every mod that touches that ID. I.e., search in the FormID window for the Base ID (not Ref ID) for that NPC. If you don't like the hair that come with this mod, remember that this is compatible with any retexture for KS Hair. Step 1 - Run SSE Edit and search for any mod in your order that impacts that NPC. It requires High Poly NPC Overhaul - Resources. A few examples would be "setrace argonian" or "setrace woodelf". The correct answer to your question is to go into the command console in-game with the tilde (~) key, click on the character you want to change with the mouse pointer (might take a few tries to select the character, the console pointer can be kind of finicky) and enter "Setrace ". If you have a mod like this one, you can use RaceMenu to edit a preset with the desired changes, then use Project Proteus to load that preset on the NPC youd like to change.
